This is What the Next Generation iPhone's Sync Cable could Look Like

Seeming to further confirm the expectations of a smaller iPhone dock connector, the next iteration of sync cables was leaked by iFixit today. This picture syncs up (pun intended) with the rumours of a 8-9 pin dock connector expected to be availabe with the release of the next iPhone allegedly to be announced on September 12 and released on the 21st.

It looks Apple-esque and nice enough to be legit. The original photo was originally leaked by Veister and alerted to iLounge via twitter.

Photos of Fully Assembled Next-Gen iPhone Divulged

A lot of leaked iPhone parts have surfaced over the last few months. With the design below being the most credible and likely, the Japanese blog iLab Factory has allegedly assembled all the parts leaked over the last few months of the upcoming phone to give you an idea of what the next generation iPhone will likely resemble.

An aluminium backplate would help strenghen the device over the current glass back that can be smashed with one drop.

Keeping the square design of the current iPhone it also still keeps the locations of the lock button, volume buttons and camera.

The bottom shows a redisigned smaller dock connector that gives room for the 3.5mm headphone jack to be relocated on the bottom. There is even enough room for a better speaker and microphone design.

This alleged new iPhone has redesigned internals to accomadate the new design.

A beautiful 4" screen to compete with android phones and a relocated Facetime Camera can be seen on the front.

As you can see it looks very similar to the iPhone 4S while borrowing from the now retro Original iPhone with the two toned colour scheme.
Overall this alleged New iPhone has a much better design with it looking much stronger and higher quality than the shoddy 4S. If these rumours are true one might also expect 4G LTE, A5X or A6 chip, a better camera and possibly even NFC.

Worldwide Times for Apple’s WWDC 2012 Event Timetable, Coverage and More!

With Apple’s WWDC around the corner I think it’s time for another WWDC 2012 Worldwide Event Timetable. With this you can see when exactly the event will occur in your region of the planet. As you can see, with me living in Brisbane I won’t be covering the event live. I only cover big events like the announcement of a new iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and since that is unlikely for this event it’s a slim chance I’ll be live updating via twitter like I did for the iPad event some months ago.

Apple won’t be live streaming the event but a video recording of it will be available on iTunes and YouTube almost as soon as it is over. Of course, with me waking up almost as soon as the event finishes I will be excited to provide you guys with a recap video to summarise and highlight the most important parts of the event.

Anyway, dig in and I hope you’re looking forward to iOS 6, New Macs and the slim chance of a New iPhone like I am!

"Blue Busters" Long Lost Apple 80s TV Ad Shows them Taking on IBM in this Ghostbusters Spoof Featuring Steve Jobs

Despite being a teenager I absolutely love a splash of retro. That coupled with Steve Jobs and Ghostbusters equals a nerdgasm in any Apple fanboy's book.

The TV ad shows Apple taking down the sinister looking IBM like their computers are the ghosts. Annoyed IBM customers call up Apple to exterminate their crappy, hard to use IBMs (that also have green goo coming out of them) and replace them with some swanky Apple computers. The 4 minute ad builds to a conclusion similar to that of the actual movie, with them destroying the IBM headquarters somehow at the top of the stairs on a roof.

It features two cameos of Steve Jobs at  3:03 and 4:03 plus one of Steve Wozniak at 2:20.
